I recently just spent a week in Guatemala doing a dental mission in the town of Mixco, one of the poorest areas near Guatemala City and wanted to share some of my experience with you. With the limited resources and mobile equipment, we were only able to do extractions.

Anthony Quintana, DDS

Dr Anthony Quintana is a native of Bloomfield, NM and a rock solid part of the Four Corners area. He is a man with a golden heart, and golden hands.  One thing patients comment on frequently is how warm his smile makes them feel, and how gentle his dental work is.

Dr. Quintana’s clinical training happened at the University of Colorado where he earned his DDS.  To advance his skills, he then spent an extra year being a part of the University of New Mexico Advanced Education in General Dentistry.  Before going to dental school, he worked for many local companies from landscaping and cement work, to being a part of an oil drilling team.   He connects readily with patients of all walks of life, and is fluent in Spanish, having spent some of his growing up years living with his Grandmother in Mexico.During his time in school Dr

Quintana participated in many community service events including the first NM Mission of Mercy, the Special Olympics, Cavity Free at Three, and Mission of Mercy in Colorado.     He and his wife Megan, who is also a native of Bloomfield, were married just before Dr. Quintana began his residency at UNM.  They are both thrilled to be back home, and to put down permanent roots in Farmington.
